Since becoming a regular columnist for NGS Magazine six years ago I’ve been doing historical research on a wide variety of topics. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of uncovering bits and pieces of elusive information both in print and online. As a librarian with over 32 years of experience on the reference desk, hunting down sources is the bread and butter of my daily work. When I combine this love of research with my passion for family history, it presents a perfect arena for allowing me to share some of my discoveries and hints with those just starting in this field.
